Our growth over the years has enabled us to enhance our members’ skills and knowledge, while also building strong, enduring relationships with key figures, companies, and organizations across the country.
WPPP was founded on March 31, 2001, by a group of visionary wedding photographers, including Emil Buencamino, Jorge Maniquis, Ariel Javelosa, Lito Genilo, Danny Ignacio, Lito Perez, Eric Nepomuceno, Jerry Valbuena, Jun Valbuena, and Joray Katigbak. Recognizing the need for a unified body to represent and support the interests of wedding photographers, they came together to establish an organization that would serve as a beacon of excellence in the industry.
On June 22, 2001, WPPP was formally incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Since then, our organization has grown significantly, welcoming new members from all corners of the Philippines. Today, WPPP proudly counts over a hundred active members who actively participate in our initiatives and contribute to the vibrant community we have built.
Our members hail from diverse regions, including Metro Manila, Baguio, Boracay, Bulacan, Cavite, Davao, Iloilo, Laguna, Batangas, La Union, Pampanga, Negros Occidental, Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, Nueva Vizcaya, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Norte, Davao del Norte, Benguet, Surigao del Norte, Rizal, Cebu, Bohol, Pangasinan, and Ilocos Sur. This widespread membership ensures that WPPP remains a truly national organization, reflecting the rich diversity of talent and creativity that defines the Philippine photography industry.
